About this event

A kaleidoscope of rock, opera, and raw truth – this is one singer’s journey to find his real voice!

The Colores traces the vibrant, unpredictable journey of singer and writer Fabián Arciniegas – an artist shaped as much by Guns n’ Roses and Metallica as by the boleros, rancheras, tango, and Trova that spilled from his father’s stereo. As a teenager dreaming of rock stardom, Fabián begins vocal training only to be thrust into the world of classical music by an operatic soprano who recognizes a different path for him.

What follows is a heartfelt, humorous, and deeply human exploration of identity: a young man navigating family, culture, and artistic expectation while trying to uncover the voice that truly belongs to him.

In this intimate blend of storytelling and song, Fabián weaves rock with Mariachi, Sondheim with Bizet, tango with contemporary classical, painting a musical self-portrait in every shade he’s collected along the way. Joined by Canadian–New Zealand pianist Claire Harris, he invites the audience into a world where every colour matters -because “to experience colour is to experience difference.”

The Colores is bold, funny, vulnerable, and always alive: a journey through music, memory, and the search for a voice forged in the clash of worlds.
